Chris Owen is an Environmental Engineer.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics in its Occupational Outlook Handbook,

"Environmental engineers use engineering disciplines in developing solutions to problems of planetary health. Their work may involve concerns such as waste treatment, site remediation, and pollution control technology."


Chris earned a PhD in Environmental Engineering after earning a Masters in Engineering. Over the course of his career he has worked at an engineering consulting firm, a research institute doing climate modeling and fire emissions, and finally at the Environmental Protection Agency. At the EPA, they write federal regulations and enforce them for places like nuclear power plants.
